What Youll Do:

Discovery Education is searching for an experienced customer success professional to ensure every customer in their portfolio realizes the full value of their solution, ultimately driving higher retention and growth.

As a member of the Partner Success Organization, the ideal candidate will partner directly with cross-functional peers in the Region to develop and execute effective engagement, strategies, assess and manage risk accurately, and provide accurate forecasting of their portfolio.


  • Plan and maintain an individual book of business, including but not limited to account strategies, escalations, objectives, and initiatives in alignment with the Discovery Education Partner Success organization and methodologies.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, engagement methodology, and deal strategies
  • Assess risk and elevate in order to achieve and exceed quarterly churn targets and focus on sharing finding across the teams and organization
  • Bring planning, focus and creativity with you every day
  • Work with Sales and Success leaders to identify trends and uncover opportunities for improved or new success engagements or professional development offerings.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Have an understanding of the challenges customers face in their software implementations and vendor relationships
  • Comfortable working primarily using digital collaboration tools to support the spectrum of points of contact from decision makers to implementors
  • Able to innovate, persuade, and problem-solve with peers and team-members and incorporate all learnings into daily activity
  • Acumen around retention, churn, and growth metrics
  • Understanding of value drivers in recurring business models
  • Able to prepare, present and revise forecasts

Who You Are:

  • Professional Experience: 2+ years of Customer Success/Experience/Service
  • Knowledge & Skills:
    • Awareness of SaaS business models and their overall relationship to Customer Success
  • Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Technical Skills:
    • Prior experience with CRM systems, Salesforce preferred. Experience with Gainsight a plus.
  • Travel: Limited travel to less than 10%
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-Motivation and Self-Starter: Driven self-starter with the ability to do what needs to be done without being micromanaged; ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks, proactively manage numerous projects, and prioritize competing timelines; demonstrate a problem solving/ solution-oriented approach
  • Learning Orientation: Always willing to learn something new, not rigid in beliefs or expectations
  • Focus on Diversity: Have a demonstrated ability to understand, accept and engage with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Sense of Humor: Because we all need to laugh sometimes
