We are looking for Director, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion to join our team!

Headquartered in Hilliard, Ohio Advanced Drainage Systems is a $2B leading provider of innovative water management solutions in the stormwater and on-site septic wastewater industries, providing superior drainage solutions for use in the construction and agriculture marketplace. For over 50 years, the Company has been manufacturing a variety of innovative and environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional materials. Our innovative products are used across a broad range of end markets and applications, including non-residential, residential, infrastructure and agriculture applications. We are the second largest plastic recycler in North America keeping nearly 600M lbs of plastic out of landfills while protecting the world's most precious resource water. Our Reason is Water. Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer is responsible for engaging with the Board of Directors, CEO, Executive Leadership Team and leaders throughout the business to develop and implement diversity, equity and inclusion strategies, programs, policies, and metrics that successfully engage, develop, retain and attract a diverse workforce, fostering inclusion throughout our business. The Director will assess potential barriers, develop business integrated strategies and objectives, and facilitate accountable plans and action at all levels of our field and corporate offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CAO, CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors to lead the strategy, design, and execution of ADS' DE&I strategy
  • Establish and implement DE&I goals and objectives that are aligned with our company, operational, and talent management strategies
  • Develop strong, collaborative, internal partnerships and open-lines of communication with cross-functional teams, to inform, engage and build momentum around ADS' commitment to a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social responsibility at all levels within the company
  • Develop, promote, and integrate DE&I throughout our organization and operations through listening, partnership, engagement, and leadership
  • Research related external developments, opportunities, and trends to integrate into our plans
  • Align and integrate our DE&I objectives with our Environmental, Social, and Governance strategies
  • Engage in community and philanthropy related activities, including an active role with The ADS Foundation, to being a strong partner in our community
  • Provide leadership to the established employee resource groups
  • Partner with our Sales and Procurement organizations in the assessment and design of growth strategies through XBE, MBE, DBE customers and suppliers
  • Manage our Affirmative Action Programs and oversee compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity, the American with Disabilities Act, and other application requirements

The Qualifications

  • Seven to ten (7 10) years of progressively relevant experience including five (5) plus years of diversity, equity, inclusion experience at a site or enterprise level
  • Experience in the design, management, and administration of diversity, equity, inclusion programs resulting in a transformed business and culture
  • Tactical expertise and knowledge of diversity program systems, processes and tools, gained through a career of increasing responsibility in the field.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect the DE&I strategies both internally and externally with the company's broader community engagement
  • History of building and articulating the business case for diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, providing ROI measurement and tying outcomes to business results that have positively impacted large organizations
  • Advanced understanding of talent management practices including talent acquisition and diversity sourcing that have yielded positive results
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to identify, monitor, and respond to developing internal and external trends across a broad array of HR, talent management, and diversity programs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Federal and State regulations impacting diversity programs
  • Related licenses, certifications, and/or memberships in professional associations preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
