ABOUT THE ROLE

The purpose of the job is to promote the full range of English Language Teaching and EMI titles in order to meet the clients needs. By doing this the country and divisional targets are met and market share of OUP group is increased.

Role Specialisation:
  • Retention responsible for developing existing OUP user relationships that promote retention and loyalty. Their focus is to secure adoption renewals and expansion and a key element of their function is to deliver/coordinate delivery of post-adoption services to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Acquisition responsible for acquiring new users, their focus is to reach out to potential customers exploring their needs as to position relevant and compelling solutions and close new adoptions.
  • Inside responsible for remotely acquiring and retaining adoptions by engaging with users and non-users and following up on inbound leads.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Promote new and backlist titles to institutions in the form of school visits in order to increase country sales of the local distributor/the OUP group.
  • Make effective use of the database to track and follow up on adoption opportunities.
  • Build relationships with key accounts in order to foster customer loyalty.
  • Provide post-adoption support to institutions in order to maintain adoptions.
  • Control expenditure and plan school visiting to make most effective use of time and budget available.
  • Provide feedback on OUP titles, the external market and competitors activities to contribute to the development of sales and marketing plans.
  • Develop and demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of products in order to take full advantage of all available opportunities.
  • Represent OUP at appropriate teachers events and exhibitions to maintain and improve OUPs profile.
  • Organise and deliver methodology seminars and events to teachers.

The job-holder does not have authority to negotiate or enter into any contracts or agreements on behalf of OUP UK and is not authorized to act as the agent for OUP UK. The job-holder shall refer all draft terms with distributors to OUP UK.

ABOUT YOU
  • Developed sales skills and techniques
  • Knowledge of needs of teachers and learners or relevant market area (international schools, academic institutions)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A valid driver's license
  • Teaching experience preferred, but not required
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English is ideal
