Marmoset is seeking a Financial Affairs Coordinator

This role will include working on both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions; processing client payments, vendor payments and collections; supporting and working closely with the team lead on month end tasks and tax preparation; and ad hoc reporting. We're seeking a candidate with entry-level to early career accounting experience, acute attention to detail and process, amazing communication and strong analytical skills. This is a full-time role with the opportunity for flexible, hybrid work but MUST be located in the Portland, OR area and willing to work from Marmoset HQ one day per week.


Basics: Detail-oriented should be your middle name. You're known for your organization and curiosity that keeps you learning and developing new systems and processes. You enjoy connecting with new people and maintaining relationships.

Personality: You're driven by an inherent desire to help others, solve problems and maintain harmony. You welcome criticism and often seek critical feedback. A self-starter with a contagious can-do attitude. Able to stay calm, manage stress, and multitask while under pressure and deadlines. Managing microscopic details sounds like a fun challenge.

Abilities: Strong attention to detail, fast learner, excellent communicator. You are able to take a stacked to-do list and quickly and efficiently whittle it down. You're a master of spreadsheets and numbers. You hold efficiency in high esteem and can develop and execute better processes when needed.

Experience: With 1-2 years of accounting experience, you're comfortable rolling up your sleeves and diving into something new and/or working through a high volume of accounting duties (such as bill entry, bank and credit card reconciliations and reporting). You've worked on a team where your strong attention to detail and highly organized attributes made an impact. Proficient in Excel. Experience with Intacct or Sage products would be great (but not required).
