Overview

About the Position:

We are seeking bright, highly motivated individuals to join Guggenheim Investments. Candidates should be top performers who are willing to work hard in an entrepreneurial environment where initiative, creativity, maturity, and enthusiasm for learning are highly valued. This position is located in Santa Monica, CA.

Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop competency in various foreign exchange and fixed income cash and derivative products.
  • Research current market themes and credit trends within sectors and maintain relevant statistical data as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate with investment professionals across Guggenheim Partners' various investment groups.
  • Build and improve applications to meet the risk management and portfolio construction needs of the broader organization.
  • Interact with marketing, investor relations, client valuation teams and trade settlement groups.
  • Prepare timely and accurate periodic and ad-hoc exposure and performance reports for management.
  • Produce daily reports on portfolio exposures, transactions and other market related information.
  • Willing to take on and drive projects with the intention of continuous process improvement.
  • Develop automated reporting solutions utilizing MS Excel and programming skills
  • Staying up to date on current market events and macroeconomics.
  • Ad hoc reporting and data gathering.


Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • BA / BS required with a strong academic background.
  • Progression towards the CFA Charter is a plus.
  • Interest in foreign exchange and interest rate markets.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong Math background.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed with limited supervision.
  • Record of success as part of a team or group effort.
  • Must be able to operate in a stressful, deadline driven environment while still maintaining a strict attention to detail and ability to prioritize issues appropriately.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Bloomberg a plus.
  • VBA/SQL/Python/R programming skills strongly desired.
  • Limited travel may be required.
  • Ability to stay focused and think clearly in a stressful and fast-paced environment.
  • Must successfully pass a background and credit check.
  • Located in Santa Monica Office.
