POSITION SUMMARY
The Program Coordinator is responsible for providing accurate and responsive information to the physicians involved in the Heart Failure program. The Program Coordinator tracks physician designated Heart Failure patents and communicates with physicians regarding patients.



The Program Coordinator provides administrative and clerical support to the director with various functional responsibilities and assists with departmental operations as required. The



The Program Coordinator may provide any or all of the following services: produces documents, maintains files, answers telephones, prepares moderately complex reports and provides billing information. The Program Coordinator assists the program with issues, problems and projects as directed and responds to operational inquiries. The Program Coordinator develops and implements program procedures and processes that support operations.



This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.



QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years medical office experience required, preferably within a multi-functional office. Great attention to detail and knowledge of the programs required. Good judgment and critical thinking skills required. Ability to utilize multiple computer applications and standard office equipment required. Well-developed communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Computer Applications required. Knowledge of medical terminology and coding preferred. Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.



PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.



WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position requires desk/computer work for a majority of the time. Requires some walking and standing and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Position requires increased amounts of repetitive motion with regard to typing.
