Integration Developer (Temporary Grant-Funded ) - District Office

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Support the Client Relationship Management (CRM), Student Portal, AI chatbot integrations for a Title V grant. Responsible for developing and maintaining system integrations and components, including but not limited to application integrations, services, internal and external API, file transfers, and EDI and SQL queries.

The Application Integration Specialist is fully responsible for participating in requirements analysis and decomposition, design, development, internal testing, and the documentation of same for the application to application integrations. Primary responsibilities will also include troubleshooting the new CRM, Student Portal and Chatbot integrations and providing technical support to the application development team and/or stakeholders. The Application Integration Specialist is part of the Enterprise Application Development team and works in collaboration with project team for Title V Grant on all three initiatives.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop and maintain services used in application integrations.
  • Architect, design, build, and implement application integrations.
  • Design integration solutions and document the design in accordance with best practices.
  • Develop and maintain data integration components such as SQL queries, PL/SQL stored procedures, data extraction and cleansing, and integration with system front end components.
  • Write PL-SQL code to retrieve appropriate data as derived from requirements.
  • Work with developers to build and extract data to support data analysis.
  • Work with project team to understand and analyze business specifications.
  • Provide technical assistance to troubleshoot and resolve integration errors.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to demonstrate the College values
  • In depth knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle 19c or greater.
  • Familiarity with database tools such as Toad or SQL Developer.
  • Integration Architecture (API), and best practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, AWS, Google Cloud, SaaS environments.
  • Knowledge in AI Technologies, machine learning technologies
  • Demonstrated strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to follow procedures and resolve exceptions
  • Demonstrated ability to design and document software solutions
  • Strong familiarity with agile software development practices and tools
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills with strong sense of customer service
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work in a team with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Solution oriented with a high sense of quality, attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Team player who is also able to work independently and handle conflicting priorities while maintaining consistent, quality performance standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines and prioritize effectively, while delivering high quality work.

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

Required Experience:
  • Three years of development experience required
  • Demonstrated experience in XML, JSON, web services, and experience with KSH, bash (shell programming), Python or related language
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience in SFTP, shell programming data integrations
  • Demonstrated development experience with JAVA language
  • Demonstrated development experience with JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, and CSS
  • Demonstrated experience writing Web Services, RESTful, or SOAP, as well as experience writing fault-tolerant code
  • Experience working with ERP solutions
  • Experience in structured release & deployment best practices

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with API Management Tools like Postman, Boomi, MuleSoft

  • Grant-funded positions are contingent on the continuation and the availability of grant funds
  • This position has opportunity for limited remote work arrangements with appropriate approvals and in accordance with the policies, procedures, and needs of the College.

Salary Grade: 27
