As an indispensable part of the Scheidt & Bachmann North American team, the IT Administrator will ensure the smooth operation of workplace technology for employees based in the US and Canada through management and maintenance of the entire IT eco-system. As a part of the Global Scheidt & Bachmann IT Team the IT- Administrator manages topics from the server, client & network infrastructure.
Essential Job Functions
MONITORING AND MAINTAINING IT INFRASTRUCTURE,
By,
Analyzing and resolving user problems,
Upgrading, installing and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.
Support of the server, client and network infrastructure.
Collaborating in first-/Second-Level Support,
Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats,
Creating and maintaining documentation
Extending and optimizing the existing IT security
Supporting project-related activities such as hardware refreshes, software tests and various product rollouts
Communicating and coordinating with the Global Scheidt & Bachmann IT Team in Germany and Slovakia
CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT
Demonstrate and help develop a culture of service excellence where customer focus, process improvements and team collaboration are priority.

Job Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
o Operating System: In depth knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, servers, databases and applications,
o Troubleshooting: Gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops solutions, works well in small group settings, uses reason even when dealing with emotional customers,
o Computing Infrastructure: Knowledge of management and support for end-user computers, servers, storage systems, databases, and middleware,
o Server Management: Monitoring and maintaining servers to operate at peak performance, including: minimizing server slowdowns, building secure server environments and planning for server evolution as the organization grows,
o Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures,
o Attention to Detail- Accomplish tasks while demonstrating a thorough concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small; monitoring and check work or information while organizing time and resources efficiently; ensuring that information/work is complete/accurate and following up with others to ensure that commitments have been fulfilled,
o Communications - Effective interpersonal skills, intercultural communications and presentation skills; Ability to communicate complex technical information in both written and verbal form to all levels of the organization

o Travel - This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America and Europe (<10%). Must have valid driver's license in state of residency.
Required Education and Experience
BS in Computer Science, MS in Information Systems or 7+ years of proven experience gained in technical support or consultancy role in a corporate IT environment
Experience in the areas of user service/ client support and remote support
Knowledge of Linux operating systems, servers and applications a plus Knowledge in the LAN/WAN environment; Lay3 switches, firewalls is a plus
Specific knowledge in selected areas such as Microsoft 365, standardization, IT security and cloud technologies
Ability to analyze and solve problems as well as solution-oriented and independent action.
