We are currently recruiting a Manufacturing Production Manager in Gainesville, TX who will be responsible for plant production, employee training and development, oversee the production team, and implementing policies and procedures. Our ideal candidate will be a professional with at least 5 years of manufacturing management experience, has excellent mechanical skills and has first-hand experience working in a production/industrial environment- if you have extrusion or plastics background that is a huge plus!

This facility is open 24/7, and the production supervisor must be flexible in schedule and ok being on call.

You will need to be a proven people leader that can coach and mentor new hires and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Bring your best practices and implement those processes and 5S initiatives on all shifts by using your lean manufacturing mindset and continuous improvement. In this role, you will be tasked to lead people and get results through others so outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are required. You will be handling several projects and tasks so you must be able to prioritize, delegate, and organize. You will use Microsoft Office and SAP/ERP systems; computer proficiency will help you accomplish your daily goals, prepare reports, and track operational KPIs metrics, determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow. You will use your problem solving and analytical skills to use data and communication to resolve production related issues, reduce scrap production, resolve customer and employee complaints, and implement corrective actions.

In this role, you will oversee and participate in daily operations such as scheduling, staffing, quality, and cost effectiveness. You will have the ability to ensure effective employee relations, mentor, and empower your supervisors and balance quality, safety, morale, productivity, and cost to achieve positive results in all areas.
We are expecting our management team to be hands-on and visible on the production floor through daily Gemba walks and department meetings. Part of the administrative work will involve budget management and compliance, inventory and expenses monitoring, report creation, and using the data to drive corrective actions, but being present and involved will help you foster a quality and safety culture at the plant.
