Producer, Digital Media - District Office

Essential Job Functions:
  • Conceptualize, film, edit, and produce video assets for the College, its programs, the marketing department, advertising, and social media.
  • Develop paid social media strategy and execute boosted posts for the College's social media sites.
  • Assist College faculty, staff, and departments with execution of paid social media advertising campaigns as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of the College's website chat bot in conjunction with IT, including serving on project committees as needed.
  • Oversee development and monitoring of the College's mobile app.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop presentations about digital marketing and assets, and present to classes and employee groups.
  • Create monthly metrics reports for paid social media and video efforts.
  • Conduct market research as needed to develop understanding of target market(s) to aid in department's digital marketing, social media, and advertising efforts.
  • Other projects as assigned.

  • Marginal Job Functions:
  • Manage the Digital Intern, when applicable
  • Participate as a representative for marketing on College-wide committees and tasks forces as needed / assigned
  • Attend events and meetings to streamline communication between marketing and campuses / departments to gather and disseminate news

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Extensive demonstrated knowledge of camera equipment, filming techniques, video production, and video editing software.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with social media platforms, best practices, industry trends, and developments.
    • Demonstrated experience producing video and graphics content for website and social media platforms.
    • Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, social media moderation software, and video editing and animation software.
    • Demonstrated ability to operate photo, video, and lighting equipment.
    • Must demonstrate creativity, engagement, and the ability to work within a team.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage time successfully and to meet stringent deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to network and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.
    • Must possess strong organizational skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be flexible and able to adapt to a work schedule that can change, including evening and weekend hours.

    Required Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field

    Required Experience:
    • Four years of video production experience; Two years of experience with graphic design or animation; Two years of experience facilitating social media or digital marketing

    Preferred Experience:
    • Additional photography experience; marketing copywriting experience a plus

    Preferred Licenses/Certifications:
    • Google Analytics, Google Ad Certification

    Note: This position has opportunity for remote work arrangements with appropriate approvals and in accordance with the policies, procedures, and needs of the College.

    Salary Grade: 23
