JOB TITLE: Sales Manager-Memory Products

LOCATION: Redmond, WA, USA

The Samsung Semiconductor Sales organization is pivotal in driving forward the business relationships of our premier customers to create sustained growth partnerships. Leveraging cutting edge, worldwide supply chain capabilities, we strive to exceed high customer expectations of product support. The Sales team is critical in supporting not only the customers future product vision but aligning internal stakeholders to make it happen.

OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for the sale of the organization's Memory and Storage Products in the greater Seattle area by using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs resulting in revenue generation. In addition, the position provides input and participates in the market planning and technical development of products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build customer relationships across the customer organization and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare, negotiate, and close agreements on product target quantities and prices (multi-level, multi department, multi-cultural).
• Execute agreements on a monthly or quarterly basis to meet revenue targets.
• Manage PO placement, invoicing, payments, and credit.
• Manage and optimize supply chain activities aligned with customer requirements (hub operations, material returns, and data-management).
• Develop new business by selling into new applications or and/or selling new products.
• Contribute to account planning, account strategy, and forecasting.
• Manage, analyze and align sales forecasts with production targets
• Report account activities and results to management and internal stakeholders.
• Travel to customer site, Samsung US, Korea/China as applicable (and when possible).
  • Local: Visit customers, 2-4x per week
  • Domestic: San Jose, 1-2x per quarter
  • International: Asia, 2-3x per year

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Bachelors Degree in Business or other relevant discipline of equivalent experience
• 3-5 years working experience preferably in a customer facing role
• Proven negotiation skills
• Good understanding of the cloud (infrastructure, business model, growth areas)
• IT savvy (Understanding of IT technologies, infrastructure)
• Communicate with internal/ external stakeholders across organizational levels
• Sensitivity to and understanding of differences in multi-cultural business environments
• self-driven, entrepreneurial spirited peoples person
• Microsoft Office suite
