- Develop and execute on a variety of cross-channel digital outreach strategies with project managers, designers, multimedia experts, and other communications pros
- Refine strategies for and manage social media accounts
- Lead email outreach for public health focused work
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with internal program teams and develop a deep understanding of program needs, goals, and priorities. Identify new opportunities for achieving project goals. Ensure regular social media and email presence for each program.
- Develop and refine copy for a variety of digital content.
- Manage Pew Health Twitter account, including daily monitoring, publishing, and interacting. Lead efforts to redefine account strategy.
- Monitor social media for mentions of Pew and its campaigns, as well as for news and exchanges that could inspire new content.
- Depending on campaign requirements, act as a day-to-day digital and/or functional lead on a variety of digital campaign activities.
- Collaborate with design and video teams as well as other communications staff on the development of digital content.
- Work collaboratively to enhance our approach to content strategies for both project-specific and institution-wide goals.
- Contribute to the planning and development of editorial calendars.
- Contribute to the advancement of Pew's approach to editorial and content strategy that effectively engages audiences across digital channels.
- Keep abreast of the latest digital trends to inform creative approaches as well as to aid internal knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience with progressive responsibility for developing integrated digital strategy and campaign execution, preferably at a digital or creative agency, nonprofit, or association.
- Ability to develop cross-channel digital content strategies that meet organizational goals (any additional experience in using CRM systems such as Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MailChimp, or Responsys is a plus).
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively to develop and refine creative ideas, build consensus, and influence decisions.
- Exceptional skill with written and verbal communications and ability to effectively communicate strategic recommendations.
- Solid working knowledge of the social and digital ecosystem, including working relationships with social platforms and partners (Sprout Social or Hootsuite Enterprise. A plus).
- Experience developing content concepts and then turning those concepts into effective, channel-specific copy (interest in creating simple visuals and short-form video for social media, a plus).
- Experience presenting and articulating integrated digital strategy, including campaign goals, objectives, and performance-measurement methods (such as using analytic tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite Impact a plus/ and using social listening tools such as Crimson Hexagon, Brandwatch, or Meltwater Explore).
- Ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to occasionally work a flexible schedule to ensure support for Pew's international campaigns and to provide support during breaking-news situations.
