The Senior Manager, Development is responsible for planning and implementing fundraising strategies and tactics to achieve market revenue goals with the direction of the Director, Development. The Senior Manager, Development will be responsible for managing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for a portfolio of both existing and new corporate partners, individual donors, corporate & government grants, and special events.

Regarding special events, this position will also assist the market in logistical support, CRM and event platform management, email and social media marketing, vendor contracting, and budgeting.

The Senior Manager, Development works closely with and will manage the market Development Manager in their role of supporting the staff team. This relationship should be characterized by effective communication, a positive attitude toward the growth of the Foundation, and the achievement of its mission through mutual understanding of goals and development objectives.


  • Cultivating, soliciting, securing, and managing corporate sponsorship, individual donors, and community partners.
  • Recruit and manage event Leadership Committees.
  • Create and implement ongoing community outreach strategies and year-round recruitment and cultivation programs to develop prospect pipeline.
  • Maintain event budgets, financial reports, and records.
  • Oversee logistical requirements for virtual and in-person events.
  • Develop strategies to support marketing and communications calendar.
  • Help execute and administer grant writing.
  • Manage and provide direction to the Development Manager and other supporting staff.
  • Performs additional duties as required.


  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5+ years related experience in growing community-based fundraising events, specifically peer-to-peer programs.
  • Experience in securing corporate sponsorships and partnerships.
  • Familiarity with peer-to-peer fundraising best practices.
  • Previous experience managing direct reports.
  • Proficient in CRM and Project/Event Management Systems (Salesforce, Rallybound, Asana, Slack, etc.)
  • Experience with overall event management, including supervising staff and volunteers.
  • Highly effective organizational, communication, negotiations, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task.
  • Self-starter able to work well in a team driven environment and delegate to accomplish goals.
  • Flexible to work weekends and evenings
  • Experience in a health care field or with a voluntary health organization a plus.
