Main Purpose:

The Underwriting Analyst will provide both administrative and underwriting support to the US Management & Professional Lines team. This role will work very closely with the underwriters, offering support through the workflow processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the support of the submission process from submit to closure, including policy issuance. Ensure data is accurate and complete.
  • Provide support for data and financial reporting purposes for admitted and non-admitted business.
  • Assist with select regulatory compliance processes and activities
  • Track NDAs and other required items
  • Assist with premium reconciliation and verification.
  • Perform pre-underwriting data completion as well as research surrounding companies
  • Check claims to ensure up to date information for UW review
  • Assist underwriting with quote and binder letters, completion of various underwriting steps as well as follow up for required underwriting information
  • Help to ensure underwriting folders are properly maintained, organized and documents are named properly
  • Provide preparation and support during the various audits- internal, reinsurance, claims, and others
  • Work on special projects, as requested

Skills and Experience:

  • College degree preferred
  • Strong Microsoft excel and word knowledge and abilities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Strong internet search knowledge and capabilities
  • Detail oriented
  • Prior insurance exposure required
